Weekend Workshop in the Word

Join us for a weekend workshop on the chronology, characters, and Names of God in the Old Testament, led by Leigh Thomas. We’ll meet in Room 12 on Friday evening, February 2 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and continue on February 3 from 9:30 a.m. to approximately 2:30 p.m. (with a 1-hour break for lunch on your own). Please come with your favorite writing utensils and basic art supplies (e.g., markers, stickers, etc.) if you have an artsy bent. You will create and leave with your own Old Testament timeline that will enhance your understanding of scripture and enrich your personal devotional time. Preparations are well underway and we hope you’ll join us: no RSVP required!

Women’s Discipleship Night

Women’s Discipleship Night resumes this month with new teachers and new topics! Come out this month on Tuesday, January 23rd from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. (Room 4) for a discussion on the seasons of discipleship. God calls us to both be disciples and disciple others, and you’ll be blessed and equpped by this teaching led by Mandy Eckhardt. Hope to see you there!

New Winter/Spring Classes!

Are you interested in getting plugged into a Sunday class this winter? Don’t miss these new offerings! —

Kevin & Kim DeKold will be leading a discussion on parenting teens starting Sunday, January 14th at 9:15 a.m. during first service in Room 5. They will be using Paul Tripp’s book entitled “Age of Opportunity”. You can purchase one yourself online or pick one up at the first class for $12. Feel free to contact Kim (208-346-0480) with questions!

Phil & Megan Camp will be facilitating a 12-week Financial Peace University course designed for anyone who would like to learn to manage their finances from a biblical perspective, including discussions on getting out of debt, budgeting, investing, and giving. Classes will begin on February 4 at 9:15 a.m. during second service in Room 6 and go through the end of April. There is $25 fee for the workbook. For more information, contact Megan (208-206-9763).

The purpose of the women’s ministry at Christ Community Church is to encourage, equip, and connect women of all stages and help them live out their calling as essential partners in fulfilling the Great Commission. To that end, the ministry will plan and implement programs and events that encourage women to glorify God and study His word, love and serve one another, form close bonds through Christian fellowship, and share the good news of the Gospel with those who have not yet embraced the saving grace of Jesus.
