Women’s Discipleship Night

All women are invited to join this monthly gathering to enjoy an encouraging time of teaching, discussion, sharing, and prayer. Jenni Kay and Julie Shumway will start a 2-part series on prayer this month. You’ll find us in Room 4 on Tuesday, Nov. 28 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

Many thanks to Kim DeKold for leading an honest and important discussion on the topic of anger in October!

Prayer Walking

Calling all women out there who desire to remain active - at least in prayer - over the winter months!:

Effective immediately, Prayer Walking will begin at 3:45 (instead of 3:30) on Wednesdays!

To join the group or find out about meeting locations, text Stephanie at 316-617-8990 or join the CCC women’s FB page (see link below).

Outdoor meetings will be weather dependent; indoor locations will be announced when the weather does not cooperate. Kids are welcome!

Healing Hearts

Healing Hearts - a support group for women struggling with anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges - is also moving to a new date and time!

Future group meetings will be held on the first Tuesday of the month from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. in Room 6.

This group is a safe place to share and obtain hope and support as you explore how God draws us closer to Himself through seasons of suffering.

The group will meet tonight on the topic of “Trusting God in the Waiting Rooms of Life”. Contact Kelly Jianas (714-721-6165) with questions. All are welcome!

Christmas Gathering

This year’s Christmas gathering will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the worship center!

Please bring a finger food or appetizer to share. (Healthy and fluten/dairy-free options are always appreciated).
Bring your wallet too! We will be offering crafted hand-made items, created by individuals at CCC, for a suggested donation and giving all proceeds to The Shepherd’s Inn, a local, faith-based nonprofit that ministers to pregnant and parenting teens and young adults.

As a courtesy, if you plan to attend, please RSVP via the card in the bulletin later this month so we can plan for adequate tables and seating. Hope to see you there!

P.S. All those donating hand-made items for sale at the Christmas event should turn them in at the bins provided in the grand hall on Sunday, Nov. 19 or Sunday, Nov. 26, along with a brief bio. See an upcoming email for additional instructions!

Misc. Matters

Kim Mitchell would like to host at least one of several new groups designed to engage not-yet believers in meaningful conversations that go ‘from light to deep to Jesus’. Stay tuned for a more detailed email about the possibilities and prayerfully consider being a part of this important outreach to those around us who need the light of the Gospel!
Some of you have asked about the various channels we use as a church to communicate important news and stay in touch. Please see the email referred to above for more information about the official and unofficial vehicles we use for women’s ministry.
Don’t forget about our church-wide Worship Night on Tuesday, Nov. 21st from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the worship center. This will be a wonderful time to give thanks as the body of Christ before the Thanksgiving holiday later that week.

May you experience an abundance of gratitude for the things God has done in this season of thanksgiving.

Join our CCC Women’s FB group

The purpose of the women’s ministry at Christ Community Church is to encourage, equip, and connect women of all stages and help them live out their calling as essential partners in fulfilling the Great Commission. To that end, the ministry will plan and implement programs and events that encourage women to glorify God and study His word, love and serve one another, form close bonds through Christian fellowship, and share the good news of the Gospel with those who have not yet embraced the saving grace of Jesus.
