Please review the following information carefully before submitting payment and a registration form below.
You may also pick up a paper registration form at the Welcome Desk in the grand hall.
The deadline (last day) to register is Sept. 4.
WHO CAN ATTEND: The event is for CCC women only and we will not have space to accommodate women from other churches this year; however if you would like to invite someone personally, (e.g., a neighbor, friend, etc.), please do so.
AGENDA: The event will begin on Friday at 6:30 p.m. with a reception, worship, and the first speaking session. Saturday activities will include additional speaking sessions, worship, and a choice of two different break-out sessions for adults. (Youth participants will have their own breakout). Dinner on Saturday will be on your own. (See option below). We will hold our last worship and speaking sessions on Sunday morning and conclude by lunchtime.
COST: Registration cost will be $40 per person (including youth), plus lodging, arranged on your own with the hotel, at a group rate of $95, plus taxes, per night. The cost to register is $40, whether you will be in attendance for the entire time or only a partial time. Most rooms will include two queen beds and can accommodate four women if you choose to share the space and cost with others. Registration includes all event sessions, materials, and three meals: buffet breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday and a lunch buffet on Saturday. (See below for menu items and ingredients).
HOW TO PAY: You may pay the registration fee in one of 4 ways:
Online: Pay below using link provided.
Cash (via the offering): Place cash in an envelope and mark it with your name (and anyone you’re paying for) and “Women’s Retreat”.
Check (via the offering): Write “Women’s Retreat” on the memo line of your check (along with the names of anyone you’re paying for).
Venmo: @CCC-idahofalls; please note the names of anyone else you are paying for.
You may choose to complete the below registration form online, but pay using one of the other 3 options above.
All payment and registration information must be received on/by the Sept. 4 deadline.
Remember that - while you will pay CCC for the cost of registration - you will pay the hotel yourself when you book your room.
LODGING: To make, change, or cancel room reservations, contact the hotel at the number above and identify yourself with our event (“Christ Community Church”). CCC is not responsible for reserving or revising your accommodations. All reservations must be made by Sept. 18th. Special requests (e.g., for ground floor, accessible rooms, etc.) should be made at the time you book and cannot be guaranteed otherwise. Check-in is at 4:00 p.m.; check-out is at 11:00 a.m. (so will need to be taken care of on Sunday before the morning session begins). Please review the email you receive after booking your room(s) for additional hotel policies.
RIDES AND ROOMMATES: Please secure your own transportation and roommates (if you choose to share a room). CCC is not responsible for providing attendees with transportation to or from the event (or roommates at the hotel).
YOUTH ATTENDANCE: Youth girls ages 14 and up are invited to attend this year’s retreat with parental permission. With the exception of free time and break-out sessions, youth participants will need to room and sit with their mothers during the event. Moms should also be aware that the speaking sessions will include mature sexual content and prayerfully consider the age and maturity of any girls who attend in their care. *** Signed waiver forms will be required for all youth attendees: please email Michele Moore for a copy of the waiver. ***
MENU & MEAL INGREDIENTS: The buffet breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday will include scrambled eggs, made-from-scratch biscuits with sausage gravy and bacon, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, and water. A baked potato bar will be available for lunch and include locally-grown Idaho russet potatoes with various toppings, served with a green salad, ranch dressing, an optional roll, and a choice of dessert. If you choose to eat and pay elsewhere, there are several local options and a Perkins Restaurant on-site, but eating off-site will not alter the cost of registration. Gluten-, dairy-, and sugar- free options have been requested for all meals at the hotel, but are not guaranteed.
SATURDAY BREAKOUT SESSIONS: A total of three (3) breakout sessions will occur on Saturday afternoon. All youth attendees will attend a specified breakout; adult participants will have the choice between two sessions as described below:
Adult Breakout 1 (Sarah Mueller): God makes Himself known on every page of the Bible! In this breakout session, you will learn tools that will help you study thoroughly and meditate deeply on the Word with the intent of discovering God’s attributes. Knowing Him and His character will equip you to answer life’s most difficult questions with a Biblical perspective, impact your worldview, change how you think about your circumstances, and help you see how He meets our deepest needs, even in the midst of our suffering.
Adult Breakout 2 (Mandy Jones): If you're looking for a way to make your devotional time come alive, this breakout is for you! You'll learn how Bible Art Journaling can deepen your understanding of God's word and try your hand at some actual journal pages (all materials supplied). Don't be intimidated if you don't consider yourself an artist: you'll love this fresh and creative way of capturing, meditating on, and engaging with scripture!
Youth Breakout (Leigh Thomas): What are the essential elements of a faithful life in Christ? In this breakout, you will read, analyze, and apply various Biblical passages to discover the faithful foundation God provides in His Word that will strengthen and steady you as you walk out all seasons of life!
SAT. DINNER OPTION: Those of you who attended last year’s event may remember eating on the patio of Morey’s Steakhouse in Burley, and we have reserved a room for those of us who would like to eat there again (though not on the riverside patio, unfortunately, because it’s already been reserved)! This option includes a buffet salad bar with your choice of protein (black forest ham, lemon pepper chicken, or breaded shrimp), salad, pasta/mashed potatoes, dessert, and lemonade. All meal items, including sauces and gravy, are gluten-free (except for the breaded shrimp). Other drinks can be purchased separately at the bar. Please indicate your intent to eat at Morey’s on your registration form and be ready to pay a flat rate of $20 per person on site with cash, check, or credit card (which includes meal, drink, dessert, taxes, and gratuity). DO NOT TURN THIS MONEY INTO THE CHURCH WHEN YOU REGISTER.
DEADLINE: Registration will run from August 13 to September 4. You must register on or before September 4 to attend the event. Refunds (of the $40 registration fee) will be given until September 15. All lodging cancelations are subject to the policies of the Burley Inn & Conference Center.
It’s going to be a wonderful weekend away together and I look forward to seeing you there!
